“Grace à Jennifer nous avons pu redessiner des personnages importants pour plus d’authenticité sans tomber dans les clichés, réécrire certains passages de notre histoire et donner de nouvelles intentions à certains lieux. Au delà de tout ça, d’un point de vue personnel, cela m’a apporté une grande sérénité sur notre création sur la suite et la fin du projet.”
"Working with Narratify on Relooted was an absolute blessing. Jennifer and Mickaël combine their experience working at the peaks of game development and apply it to the indie scale with nuance, smarts, and endless passion. If you can work with them, you definitely should!"
“Working together with Jennifer and Mickael from Narratify was one of the most valuable aspects of the first edition of the Roots & Pixels training program. Jennifer and Mickael made these challenging topics approachable and visible through historical examples and interactive exercises. The workshop from Narratify provided a powerful foundation for participants to work from, and – on top of all of this – they are just two genuine, passionate, inspiring individuals. You can feel the love they have for their craft and it inspires you to transmit the same amount of dedication into your own work. Narratify is a shining example of what this industry needs.”
“Jennifer nous a éclairé au sujet des discriminations que nous souhaitons représenter et nous a fait prendre conscience de l'impact que ces sujets pouvaient avoir sur nos joueureuses. Elle nous a permis de reconsidérer notre manière de traiter ces questions afin de servir encore mieux notre propos, de faire des liens que nous n'avions pas envisagés auparavant, et d'aborder avec plus de nuance ces thématiques centrales à nos histoires et personnages.”
NARRATIFY is led by Jennifer Lufau and Mickaël Newton, two game industry professionals drawing 20+ years of experience with indie and AAA studios covering expertise from cultural consulting and social impact to community development in games.

If you believe games are art and developers deserve respect, you might belong here.
Because we care. We come from both a professional and activist background, advocating for inclusive storytelling, building meaningful communities, and sharing how games positively impact people. Narratify exists so that developers can get a second perspective rooted in experience and expertise, without judgement and with care.
Narratify's mission is focused on african narratives, but our sensitivity services apply to a wider range. We cover black/african representation in games, but also of women, queer, disabilities and more, with the help of our pool of experts. Our cultural consulting services however, only cover Africa and its diaspora so far.
We usually read and analyze your materials (scripts, documents, concepts arts…), alert on incoherences and risks and write a sensitivity report that your teams can use. But that can also take the form of a workshop where we meet with your teams and work together to provide actionable recommendations.
Because all projects and teams are different, our sensitivity review rates depend on the materials provided. However, you can expect a minimum fee of 1500€ for the sensitivity report. These rates are only indicative so please contact us to get an estimate.
If you're a developer wanting to submit your game for the next AGS, please note that we only feature PC/Steam games that are upcoming in the next 6 months, then fill in this form.
If you want to support or partner with the AGS, please use our contact form. Also, stay tuned as we're creating an AGS Community network!
As a player, wishlist and buy their games! We share lists of African inspired games on social media and on Steam. As an investor, we can introduce you to commercially promising games. Contact us via email to discuss it!
